Singer Spotlight: Sam Kim
The next artist in the Singer Spotlight series is Sam Kim. He is a Korean-American artist originally from Seattle, Washington.
I first heard about him through one of my favourite Korean artists, Crush. He recently collaborated with Sam on a track called "Make Up". I enjoyed listening to the song and watching the music video. I later learned about Sam's collaboration with Zico, titled "It's You".
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Sam Kim was born on February 19, 1998. He was born in Seattle, Washington, USA. He has a younger brother, Jooyoung, and a younger sister named Sujin.
ARTIST ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Sam Kim was first introduced to the public eye through the third season of South Korean music competition show, K-Pop Star 3. He was declared the runner-up, and was signed under judge Yu Hee-yeol's music label, Antenna Music. He debuted on April 10, 2016, with his album titled I Am Sam.
Sam recently released his newest album, titled Sun and Moon on November 22, 2018. Tracks include Make Up ft Crush (who collaborated with him for his first album's track No Sense), and It's You ft Zico.
Sam also took part in an Original Soundtrack in 2016, for the Korean drama Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, with the song Who Are You.
In December 2018, Sam and artist IU wrote lyrics together for a winter special single called, "When You Fall" (ft Chai).
