ALBUM REVIEW: JOURNEY EP - HENRY

One of my favourite artists, HENRY, released his third mini album called "Journey" yesterday morning. Ever since then, I've been listening to his EP nonstop. My top three tracks are: Radio, Just Be Me, and Right Now.

Now to dive into the tracks of the album.

Radio - The title track starts off with a mysterious, whimsical vibe. It is a ballad that has EDM elements sprinkled throughout, such as the bassline that slips in and out of the song. The minimalistic start to the song leads to an anticipated build-up that is later satisfied. It is also the title track of the EP, and the music video is equal parts stunning and whimsical.

Hands Up (ft pH-1)  - Hands Up is a R&B collab featuring prolific rapper, pH-1. Its chill vibe makes it easy and soothing to listen to. It's also quite catchy. pH-1's rap is a nice contrast, and fits nicely within the song.

Right Now - This track starts off with the strumming of a guitar, then the bassline slowly creeps in. It's definitely an earworm. Henry doesn't rap often in his music, but his skills were evident here.

Just Be Me - This song has a special place in my heart, as it's his first English song since 2018's Monster. The lyrics are about being proud of yourself and having self-confidence. I especially like the line "There's no one I'd rather be, Imma just be me."

Come Over (ft GRAY, Kim Go Eun, Park Na Rae, Joon Park, Jeon Hyun Moo, Jessi, Han Hye Jin)

This song is super fun and catchy. It also boasts a pretty diverse lineup of Korean celebrities ranging from a well-known producer (GRAY) to comedienne, Park Na Rae, and other famous friends in between. My favourite part is Jessi's line at the end of the song, when she says, "Is that good, Henry?".
